You might need help from CAMHS if these problems are affecting your school or home life and you’re finding it hard to cope. Some of the problems we can help you with are shown below and you can find more information on these problems here.

  • Depression
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Anger
  • Self-harm
  • Family and relationships
  • Drug and alcohol abuse
  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Eating disorders.

It’s important to get help and talk to a trained professional who can guide you towards feeling better. You can speak to your teacher, school nurse, general practitioner, social worker – if you have one or contact your local CAMHS team directly.

If you have you talked to a professional who has made a request for support from CAMHS or  if you think you might need some help from us and want to find out more about what the service offers, My CAMHS Choices is a great website created by young people with experience of CAMHS and features video interviews with real clinicians and young people.
